It's official. You are ENGAGED! Congratulations! You may have heard of eloping or seen it in the movies, but you aren't exactly sure what it can entail. Buckle up because I am about to explain everything that you'll need to know to make your decision.

What is eloping?

According to dictionary: Elopement [ ih-lohp-muhnt ] noun

"An act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married."

Back in the old days, eloping was something to be a fraud upon. It was an act of disrespect to the family and close friends. And it often meant that two people were shunned from the family forever. Nowadays, elopements, believe it or not, are trending! There is nothing wrong with couples who opt for traditional weddings, by all means, have a party and invite all your family and friends! I've done it myself, and I wouldn't change a thing! But many couples struggle with all the stress traditional weddings come with, so it's not a surprise that they want something more laid-back, stress-free where the focus shifts from entertaining guests to the two of them.

"An elopement is an intimate wedding celebration of you and your partner at your dream location to kick off the start of something beautiful."

Elopement Myths

MYTH1: Elopement is a quick 1 hr photoshoot.

MYTH 2: take place strictly in a courthouse.

MYTH 3: Elopements are strictly between two people.

MYTH4: Elopements aren't legally binding.

Eloping is so much more than going into a town hall, saying vows, and snapping some mandatory pictures. Your experience of getting married is equally important as everyone's day. Your wedding day is not a photoshoot; I repeat, not a PHOTOSHOOT. You deserve to have a unique and memorable day with your significant other. After all, it's one of the most important days of your life. So let's treat it like one.
